The rules

Ten pieces.
One home to reach.

DIAMONDGAME is a turn-based race across a six-pointed star. The goal is simple: move all ten of your pieces into the matching color triangle directly across the board.

1. Set up your match

Choose two or three players. Each color can be controlled by a human or the computer. Two humans can share the same device, taking turns. With three players, yellow joins red and blue.

Choose a turn timer and an undo allowance before starting. These settings apply to the whole match. For a first game, try no timer and three undos so you have time to learn.

2. Find your destination

3. Make a step or a jump

Tap or click one of your pieces. Then choose an empty hole. A step moves the piece into one adjacent hole along the board’s grid. A jump crosses one immediately adjacent piece and lands in the empty hole directly beyond it, in the same direction.

You can jump over your own pieces or an opponent’s pieces. Nothing is captured. You may link several legal jumps with the same piece in one turn. Select the final destination and the game finds a connected jump route. A single step cannot be combined with jumps in the same turn.

Destinations are not highlighted. Plan the move yourself. If you choose an illegal destination, the selected piece stays selected and you can try again.

4. Manage time and undos

A timer can be off, 15, 30, or 60 seconds. A warning sounds in the final five seconds when sound is enabled. At zero, the turn is forfeited and play passes to the next player without moving a piece. A player with no legal moves skips their turn.

Undo returns to the latest human move and also reverses any computer replies after it. It consumes one allowance for that human player. An undo cannot be used during an animation or after the game has ended.

5. Finish the race

You win when all ten holes in your destination triangle contain your own pieces. A triangle filled partly with other colors does not count as a win. A victory message, fanfare and confetti celebrate the finish.

Pause and accessibility

Use Pause or Menu to stop the clock, read the rules, restart, or change settings. Leaving the tab pauses the game. Sound can be switched off. The game reduces movement when your device requests reduced motion.
